still alive :)
just haven't had time to blog much lately Work's been pretty hardcore, most days seem to be just wakeup early, work all day and into the evening, go home eat dinner and collapse.
hmm what's been happening? I went to see Chris Daughtry play at the Hi Fi bar a couple of weeks ago. I'm not a huge fan, but it was a pretty good gig. Makes me really wish I could've gone to Thirsty Merc when they were playing a few months ago...
Hobart a couple of weekends ago. Hobart's really scenic, especially around the salamanca/battery point area. It's very English in the design and layout of all the buildings and roads. It was a pity that it was raining about 90% of the time there, but we did get some sun, and it was heaps of fun. Had one scary moment when I almost put our hired car into the side of the mountain...it wasn't my fault, I swear! The car just wasn't designed to be err...driven... :)
seriously, do not consider the Hyundai Getz if you ever want to drive more than maybe 80kmph. And definitely don't think about it if you like to overtake other cars, at any speed. And you become very aware of your own mortality whenever you're anywhere near a truck...
Still, Hobart's great for a weekend away. And the food is GREAT! Why is all the really fresh seafood always in another city? sigh.....

I'm still alive
But not blogging much because I only have internet at work or when i'm at someone else's place. I have internet when i go back to my parents' place, but I can never access blogger from there...I blame Terence's computer.
ditto for facebook. One day i'll get around to actually using that thing properly, but not anytime soon by the looks of things...

Happy Birthday to ME
sans photos...
will get some up soon...
err hold on i have some from Kate's camera
hm...well i guess i only have one that is birthday related. This was afterwards at Greco's. The sparkler wouldn't stay upright in our pavlova so we had to borrow andrew's cheesecake :)
anyway, we had dinner at Hunchbax, a theatre restaurant in Richmond. Really fun night, i'm somewhat thankful that the act didn't have much audience participation as we were right in front of the stage, although there was some....(Sheza is now called Morpheus)
um...will write more, but need to get up early tomorrow. Will update when i have more pics

um...have been meaning to update for awhile...but just been busy. as always.
quick update
Sydney was fantastic, i'm always impressed by how busy and lively the city is at all times of the day. REALLY disappointed though, our hotel back in aug days, the Avillion, has been taken over by Rydges, so no longer exists. Really sad, it always reminded me of one of the most fun weeks of my life.
And OMG I can't believe I had never been to Sydney's Fishmarket. IT IS AMAZING!!! (well, if you love seafood....)
Watched a bit of Little Britain, never bothered trying it before because the only impressions i had of it were the two ugly fat (wo)men(??) on the front cover of the season 3 dvd. It's well....incredibly insensitive, tramples on pretty much all the sensitive issues that exist in today's society, and in doing so is incredibly funny in an extremely low-brow kind of way. Which is why i love it :)
Started new project. Out in Footscray West. Yup. 39km trip from home every day....but learning lots of new interesting stuff, and everyone on the team from both our side and the client side are really fun people. more details about the cold, the smell, etc. later
Went rockclimbing at the place in Altona. It seemed to me to be a lot harder thant he nunawading one. Or maybe i'm getting fat and lazy. Lotsa fun, will definitely need to go more often, since it's only five minutes from work.
Birthday will be at Hunchbax this weekend. Shoud be fun. At least i'm fairly certain i won't be the only person that will have to make a fool of himself in front of everyone.
sleep.........

Normal service has resumed
W00t!
I have my old blogger url back :)
it's decided - will do something every saturday night I'm in melbourne. With Sully finally back in Melbourne, I expect a lot of those nights may be poker related. I miss my poker...
But not this week. in canberra / sydney..hm...have to find someone to coach this sunday.
I'll coach the next sunday though...otherwise will only have coached once in about 6 weeks! bad....
To Do list:
get new phone/optus plan
spend more time at Borders and find out what the Secret really is :)
Learn to ski
go snowboarding
play more mahjong
play more poker
oh crap....
organise birthday...
hm...i can't be bothered. Someone else do it.
New project next week. In Altona. Yeah, out there....
Shouldn't be toooo bad...I think it's just another 10 minutes from Port Melbourne, so only an hour 15 from home?
Oh well, parents already suggested I stay with grandparents in nth melb, which means as happy as i am to have clarebear and smurf offer me some place to stay, I really can't take them up on that. (smurf did only offer a sofa anyway). No internet in the flat at nth melb, and the car space is TINY. Not really ideal, but then I'm only supposed to be there for 8 weeks...I can bear it...i think....
anyway, four more days left in the city.....
